Sergio Arcuri - 2021 “Il Marinetto” Rosato
Beta Offer #15 of 16
Bottom Line Up Front - Sergio Arcuri’s “Il Marinetto'' is a graceful, imminently drinkable rosato (rosé) made from the Gaglioppo grape in Italy’s Calabria region. This wine is fresh and compelling at first sip, yet it doesn’t communicate its full charm until the last glass of the bottle. So please drink Il Marinetto in groups of two or more, and don’t be afraid to open a second bottle.
My notes while tasting: “oranges and apricots, salinity, velvety texture, salmon color, good palate grip, no excess sugar. Goes down easy.”

Fellow wine geeks,
Many of you have been clamoring for a wine from a very lean category – the high-quality, easy-drinking Italian rosato (rosé). Indeed, Il Marinetto wasn’t easy to track down. Until a few days ago, I wasn’t sure we could make this offer happen.
Sergio Arcuri’s Il Marinetto is a convincing wine to satisfy the thirst for first-rate Italian rosato. Given all the requests, and our limited quantities of this wine, I’ll keep this write-up brief. Open Tuesday has the lowest price in the U.S. on Il Marinetto.
Sergio Arcuri is the third-generation winemaker at this tiny family estate near Ciro Marina in Calabria. A true farmer-producer, Sergio is as down to earth as they come. On social media, his motto reads, “Chi tutela la natura, salva se stesso.” (Whoever protects nature, saves himself.)
Sergio produces approximately 25 thousand bottles of wine a year from certified organic vineyards, all of which are dedicated to native varieties Gaglioppo and Greco Bianco. This is where he sits on the map of southern Italy: Azienda Agricola Sergio Arcuri.
Our friends at Rimessa Roscioli produced this video of Sergio in his vineyards: Sergio Arcuri, Cirò Marina - Vino rosso genuino, ricavato da propria uva “Gaglioppo"
Only one more Open Tuesday beta offer remains!
Wine number 16 will be a Barbaresco from an up-and-coming producer. If you are looking for wines to help fill a case, 6 of our previous 14 offers are still open.

How it works:
After clicking one of the two links above, you’ll be able to request 1-12 bottles. Actually, that’s all you have to do!
About a week later, when we close the offer, you’ll get an email confirming how many bottles we allocated to your account. We will charge you when the wines are allocated.
We’ll do our best to allocate all the bottles you request. But when there are more requests than bottles available, we’ll allocate one bottle to all requesting members before allocating a second bottle to anyone. We want as many members as possible to try these wines.
This Sergio Arcuri 2021 Il Marinetto Rosato is offer number 15 of 16 during the spring private beta test. We are sending offers on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday for six straight weeks (starting on 3/29).
We ship in increments of 12. With 16 offers in this tranche, there should be plenty of chances to get to 12, 24, or 36. If you don’t have an increment of 12 at the end of the beta test, we will get in touch.
Wines from the beta tranche will ship in late May-early June for $5 per bottle (if you have an increment of 12.) This is about the same as the price to ship coast-to-coast within the U.S. - but our wines come directly from Italy.
Once your payment method is on file, you can make future requests with just a few clicks from the offer email. If you don’t have a card on file, you can add one during your first order. Your personal financial information is protected by Stripe.
